Space Dandy IRL

Featuring Ian Sinclair, the voice of Space Dandy, as the IRL version, the goal was to embrace a low-rent aesthetic / approach to how the animated characters would manifest as real entities. The spot aired during the shows slot on [adult swim], and was trending on twitter during its time on air. In addition the show’s director Shinichiro Watanabe (Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo) loved them so much they were used in Japanese promotion, and extreme honor and rarity.

The “Intergalactic Car Wash” spot is what’s shown here but a total of four spots were produced in promotion of the series. The series was produced by a crew of three (including myself) and two actors.
